Eastern Bearded Dragon, a rare close up

G'day wildlife lovers! We're absolutely chuffed to share this ripper of a find – an Eastern Bearded Dragon spotted on private property in Barjarg! Once a common sight around Mansfield, these stunning reptiles are now listed as vulnerable in Victoria. This beauty was observed near Mt. Samaria State Forest and represents only the second recording in our entire Mansfield LGA. If you're lucky enough to spot one of these gorgeous creatures in the wild, please snap a photo and upload it to iNaturalist or send it our way at Up2Us. Your sightings help build crucial data for the Atlas of Living Australia and Victorian Biodiversity Atlas. Massive thanks to Sev Steinlauf for sharing these fantastic images that highlight the importance of protecting our unique wildlife. For more info on these magnificent dragons, check out the Australian Museum website. Keep your eyes peeled out there!
