  • Kim Magnay

    Landcare Facilitator

    Kim lives in Mansfield with her partner and two children. Kim has been with Up2Us for seven years and has a wealth of experience in revegetation, small producers, biodiversity and community engagement. Her role sees her visit people who are keen to make a difference on both small and large acreage in revegetation of indigenous species as well as help small acreage farmers develop trials for horticultural production. Kim’s previous role working at Dookie Indigenous Seedbank has given her a strong knowledge base on indigenous plants in revegetation and species identification, a great asset to Up2Us.

  • Rhiannon Quigley

    Up2Us Project Officer

    Rhiannon lives in Mansfield with her partner and two young children. She works part-time whilst looking after her children and studying towards a degree in Environmental Science at Charles Sturt University. Having moved to Mansfield in 2016 after several years working in the mining industry Rhiannon is gaining an understanding of the Mansfield region by getting involved in Up2Us Landcare projects.

  • Jess Robinson

    Up2Us Project Officer

    Jess moved to Alexandra in 2010 when she commenced her university studies in Environmental Management. Jess is passionate about engaging the community to help protect and enhance its natural environment and has been involved in successfully establishing a local Intrepid Landcare tribe. She is looking forward to becoming involved with the Mansfield community and the Up2Us Landcare Alliance projects.

  • Heather McGregor

    Up2Us Project Officer

    Heather moved to Mansfield in 2021 with her partner to enjoy everything the area has to offer. She has a background in Agriculture, completing a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences in 2016 at Latrobe University. Post study, Heather spent some time working on small, regeneratively focused farms, as well as at the Department of Agriculture (Biosecurity). Heather has always been passionate about sustainable land and resource management, and enjoys working with likeminded people to achieve common goals.

  • John Gilson

    President and Delatite Landcare group representative

    John and wife Trish have owned their 110 acre farm (Felsted) since 1999 and have been working on fencing and revegetating two gullies and developing biolinks since then. John has been involved in Landcare for 12 years, commencing while he was at Geelong Grammar School (Corio) and then he joined the Fords Creek Landcare Group in 2000. They moved to Felsted at the end of 2005 and now manage a modest herd of Angus breeding cows. John and Trish joined the Delatite Landcare Group in 2007 and John is currently President of the group.

  • Andrew Crockett

    VFF representative

    Andrew has been active in Landcare within Mansfield district since Fords Creek Landcare groups inception 25 years ago. He farms a substantial property Mansfield side of Merrijig concentrating on good quality sheep and some beef production. Andrew is currently an active member of the Victorian Farmers Federation within Mansfield. He has much knowledge about farming and values the continuation of Landcare within the area.

  • Julie Aldous

    Secretary

    Originally from the Western District, Julie has lived and worked in the district for 34 years, planting trees in gullies on the family farm and supporting Upper Broken River Landcare Group. Her work in local education has more recently seen her promoting career pathways in Primary Industries by forming partnerships between Mansfield Secondary College and local mentors, including Up2Us Landcare Alliance. Integral to her work in this area is a deep respect for our environment and the desire to encourage generational commitment to its conservation.

  • Amanda Swaney

    Committee member

    Amanda and her husband Rowan live and a property on the northern side of Mansfield stretching down onto the Broken River. They are interested in growing their own food; preserving the excess and trialling small lesser known crops for marketing. Rowan has committed to increasing the production of his property by cell grazing and soil health. He is currently the President of UBRLG while Amanda takes on the Vice President role.

    Committee member

    Jason has studied and worked as a Physical and Outdoor Education teacher in Melbourne and Regional Victoria. Jason is currently working as the Community Partnership Support Officer for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning in the Goulburn Fire District. Jason is based in Mansfield and is passionate about engaging with school students and the community to help increase environmental and fire safety awareness.
