Native Grass Day

Despite the rainy start last Saturday, our native grass event turned out to be a fantastic day! Meredith Mitchell shared her incredible knowledge about native grasses, including their advantages as pasture in drought conditions.

In the afternoon, with the rain clearing, we ventured outside to explore a nearby roadside area. Together, we identified six species of native grasses, including kangaroo grass, wallaby grass, spear grass, red-legged grass, and microleana.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and to Meredith for leading such an engaging and insightful day!

This project received funding from the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.
