On Saturday the 12th of November thirty budding botanists faced the elements to take part in the annual Delatite Landcare (DLG) Wild Flower walk in Tolmie. DLG member and botanist, Sue Ablitt led the walk sharing her extensive plant knowledge with evryone. Kim Magnay, Up2Us Project Officer enjoyed the morning saying “it was great to see so many people of all ages coming together to explore our local flora. Though the elements may have not been so favourable, the time of all involved was not wasted”. The group saw many native flowers in bloom and hundreds of Common Froglets (Crinia signifera) were out enjoying the damp conditions which was especially loved by the children. A huge thank you must go to the landholders for allowing the group enjoy their beautiful property.
