Up2Us Landcare Alliance with the support from the Foundation of Rural and Regional Renewal and the William Buckland Foundation are supporting small acreage farmers to establish agricultural trials.
Currently Up2Us has trials in Capers, Garlic and alternative fertilisers on a total of 6 properties at different locations around Mansfield Shire.
The project is continuing for three years in which time Up2Us hopes to diversify the current small acreage farming potential, supporting the environmental sustainability of land around the district and contribute the food production and viability for this region.
Up2Us Landcare Alliance hopes that this project will work in conjunction with Climate Smart Agricultural Program which is a Goulburn Broken region initiative focussing on how our productive land can meet the demands of climate change.
