Fords Creek Landcare Group is an active and welcoming group within the Mansfield township. We have a number of events throughout the year that you may like to join in:
April 29th – Mansfield Rural Australians for Refugees. The Fords Creek group are conducting a planting and weeding activity with the group at 5.00pm with a BBQ and bonfire (restrictions permitting).
Sunday 7th May – 9-10.30am. Brush Cutting – Meet at the Benalla Rd bridge. Let’s flatten what is left of the weeds in preparation for weed matting and mulch. As with last time, BYO brush cutter and all appropriate safety equipment. Fuel supplied. Coffee after if we are not too grubby.
Late May – Date TBC. Weed Matting and Mulch – Its time to get the Benalla Rd bridge site ready for planting in June. This will be a big activity and will be great for kids and families. We have 7 rolls of weed matting to lay out and no doubt a mountain of mulch! Time to start pumping some weights in preparation!
May – Girl Guides Environment Badge. Fords Creek is hosting a weeding session with the Girl Guides group in May to assist them receive their Environment Badge.
