National Tree Planting Day in Mansfield on Sunday 20th July

Winter in Landcare means planting trees. Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event National Tree Day is a great way to get outside and connect with nature. It’s a memorable day out for families, giving them the opportunity to do something positive for their health and wellbeing, as well as the health of the environment. Planet Ark’s National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day provide all Australians with an opportunity to do something positive for the environment and reconnect with nature.

Mansfield is celebrating National Tree Day on Sunday July 20th this year with a walk or ride on the Rail Trail to the planting site (just beyond Withers Lane, Mansfield), then warming up with a free BBQ or soup back at the Mansfield Information Centre. Individuals and families welcome to rug up and embrace outdoors in the winter. Up2Us Landcare Alliance would like to thank the Mansfield and District Community Bank for the finances to make the event possible and the Mansfield Shire who are supporting the event.

Here is the crew from the Mansfield Secondary College Agribusiness Class who assisted with preparation for the event! Well done crew!
