With an energetic group of 27 students from Mansfield Rudolf Steiner School class 3 and 4, Fords Creek gained a further 112 plants. With teaching from Kerstie (Landcare Facilitator), the children learned about the Silver Banksia which is now a threatened species on the brink of extinction in the wild. Fords Creek area is an ideal location for trialling a reintroduction of the Silver Banksia and the children carefully planted 20 of these seedlings alongside more robust species. Up2Us Landcare Alliance would like to thank the teachers, parents and students. Great job Class 3&4!
